The role
When creating luxury wooden furniture for superyachts, Van Der Loo Yacht Interiors combines traditional skills with the latest technologies. Craftsmanship is at the heart of the most beautiful yachts.
As a machining woodworker, you will make an important contribution to this. You will perform high-level artisanal work using the most modern machines and often with special types of wood. Do you want to make beautiful products that you can truly dedicate time to?
You enjoy working in an organization where not all frameworks have been fully developed yet, allowing you to think along and participate in improvement processes. We work intensively together in an organization with short lines of communication and an informal atmosphere. Together, we work on a growing and professionalizing organization. Not everything goes perfectly yet, but 'always improving' is part of our core values, and we actively implement this daily with our team. That is also what we expect from you!
What you'll do
As a Machining Woodworker, you are responsible for operating and maintaining various woodworking machines. You will work closely with our experienced team of interior builders to produce high-quality products that meet the customer's specifications. Your tasks include:
- Setting up and operating table routers and other automated woodworking equipment.
- Carefully checking the quality of solid wood and other materials prior to production.
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Performing routine maintenance on the machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborating with other team members to ensure efficient production processes.
- Complying with safety regulations and ensuring a clean and tidy workplace.
- a completed MBO education in woodworking or a similar technical education.
- Relevant work experience as a machining woodworker working with table routers and solid wood species.
- Able to interpret complex digital drawings and specifications into work instructions.
- You have a passion for 'continuous improvement' and contribute to this in your daily working environment.
- You are a true team player with good communication skills and you feel responsible for bringing the project to a successful conclusion together, even in the face of setbacks.
- You are able to deliver work of a high quality standard
- You ask your direct colleagues for professional advice to do today better than yesterday.
