Estimator Installation Technology Residential Construction in the Netherlands

Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineering Estimator and do you want to do more than just work out budgets? As a Senior Installation Technology Estimator at Van Hoften in Eindhoven, you will work on large residential construction projects and gain significant influence over the technical and commercial choices we make.

You assess requests, perform complex calculations, and see where a design can be smarter or more efficient. Furthermore, with your experience, you are a substantive sparring partner for colleagues, project management, and clients.

As a Senior Installation Technology Estimator, you are responsible for reliable calculations that allow us to accept new residential construction projects.

You will, among other things:

• Creating complete calculations for mechanical residential installations.

• Analyzing specifications, drawings, and technical descriptions.

• Determining costs and comparing different technical solutions.

• Requesting and evaluating quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.

• Thinking along about technically smart and cost-efficient solutions.

• Early identification of risks, opportunities, and possible optimizations.

• Advising project management on technical and commercial choices.

• Guiding less experienced estimators and sharing your knowledge.

In short: you ensure that we know technically and financially what we are getting into beforehand.

We are looking for an experienced estimator who can combine technology and numbers and looks beyond just the request in front of them.

• You have several years of experience as an Estimator, Cost Expert, or similar within mechanical installation technology.

• You have good knowledge of mechanical installations.

• You can independently grasp specifications, drawings, and technical requests.

• You are strong with numbers, but also understand what is technically feasible.

• You see risks and opportunities and dare to advise on them.

• You can work independently and enjoy sharing your knowledge with colleagues.

Experience with large-scale residential construction is a clear plus for this position. Do you come from another part of mechanical installation technology and know the estimation profession inside out? Then we would also love to get in touch with you.

• Large residential construction projects and approximately 2,000 new homes per year.

• Long-term cooperation with regular contractors and project developers.

• A lot of technical knowledge, short lines of communication, and room for your own ideas.
