QA Operations Specialist (all genders) in the Netherlands

• You have a completed HBO (higher professional education) degree in the field of food technology or similar;

• You have at least 3 years of relevant work experience within QA in the food industry;

• Good command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written;

• Experience with infant formula and/or the pharmaceutical industry is a plus;

• Strong communication skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with different disciplines in day-to-day operations, as well as within projects;

• Competencies: quality-conscious, pragmatic and proactive, flexible, decisive.

• Salary between €3,903 and €5,297 gross per month (full-time), depending on experience and suitability for the role;
• A working week of 32 to 38 hours, 5% year-end bonus, 10% bonus (based on company results), 8% holiday allowance, and a pension scheme;
• A train pass and/or €0.23 per km (max. 30 km one way);
• 200 hours of leave per year, with the possibility to buy or sell up to 40 extra hours;

In this role as QA Operations Specialist, you actively work on food safety and quality as a key player at our location in Borculo. You work closely with other departments within Borculo, such as production, technology, technical services, and logistics. Your main focus is providing daily support to the production teams. You participate in daily operational meetings where you contribute quality-related matters. Additionally, you monitor both requested and unrequested food safety and quality by listening critically and thinking along regarding production matters and maintenance. You also participate in root cause analysis teams from a quality perspective during product deviations or production problems and assess the impact of deviations. In addition to daily production, you lead or participate in continuous improvement projects to strengthen our factory processes, perform internal audits, and can develop yourself in other QA processes. In Borculo, quality is teamwork; therefore, alongside your regular work, you also support other QA colleagues with, for example, (customer) audits, customer inquiries, and reporting. One of FrieslandCampina's largest factories is located in Borculo, in the Achterhoek region. Together with an enthusiastic team of approximately 350 colleagues, we are proud of what we do: making high-quality ingredients from the milk of our dairy farmers. Ingredients to make special nutrition for people who need it most. People who are sometimes even dependent on it, such as babies, young children, athletes, people who want to age actively, and patients. For them, we work incredibly hard every day to extract as much as possible from our milk in the best and most sustainable way possible. The Borculo location is one of FrieslandCampina's five largest and most important production sites and consists of two factories. The 'Ingredients factory', where we process whey into high-quality lactose- and protein-rich ingredients used in the IFT (baby and infant formula), medical, pharmaceutical, sports, and feed industries. And the "Formula factory", where we process milk into milk powder and base powders. The QA Operations Specialist is part of the QA Operations team and reports to the Teamlead QA Operations. The team consists of 5 QA roles. The QA Operations team is part of and works closely with the overarching Borculo Quality team. The Quality team consists of approximately 15 QA roles and 40 QC roles.
