Requirements

What we're looking for

You possess a higher professional education (HBO) level of working and thinking, preferably in the direction of Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, or a comparable technical education
You have at least 3 years of experience within quality management in a production or industrial environment and are familiar with the dynamics of a manufacturing company
You have demonstrable knowledge of quality management systems and experience with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
You are familiar with quality and improvement techniques such as 8D, FMEA, root cause analyses, and continuous improvement, and know how to apply these effectively in practice
You communicate easily at different levels within the organization, have a good command of the Dutch and English languages, and know how to involve colleagues and stakeholders in improvement initiatives.

The role

As Quality Manager, you hold ultimate responsibility for the quality policy and the further professionalization of the quality management system within VDL Laktechniek. You are the primary point of contact regarding quality for both internal and external stakeholders and play an active role in realizing continuous improvements. You lead a team of three quality employees and are part of the Management Team. From this position, you contribute to the strategic development of the organization and stimulate a broad quality culture. Your activities consist of:

What you'll do

Guiding internal and external audits, reporting findings, and following up on actions
Initiating improvement projects and taking corrective and preventive measures
Stimulating quality awareness within the entire organization
Advising the MT and the management on quality issues
(Re)formulating quality procedures and work instructions in collaboration with production planning
Supervising compliance with the quality assurance system and distributing tasks within the department.
