Requirements

What we're looking for

You possess a technical Bachelor's degree (Electromechanics, Mechanics, Design and Production Techniques) or an equivalent level through experience.
Experience is a plus, but recent graduates are also eligible to apply.

Nice to have

Having relevant knowledge of metalworking (sheet metal working, welding...) is a plus.
You have experience with the drawing program SolidWorks or other programs, or you are eager to learn.
You have a basic knowledge of MS Office.
You speak and write perfect Dutch and have a good command of the English language (knowledge of French and German is a plus).

The role

What you'll do

Within the work preparation/engineering department, you will guide projects from A to Z. This includes the entire process from calculations to converting customer drawings, from work preparation through to following up on the production process. You will maintain all data regarding your projects in our ERP package and monitor the good progress of these projects in production.
Your analytical insight to determine costs ensures that you are always looking for the best solution for the customer and our company. In doing so, you take into account, among other things, the use of correct materials and machines.
You are the technical point of contact for various parties, both internally and externally. In this role, you communicate smoothly with customers to understand their needs.
Taking responsibility is second nature to you, and you always strive to seek the best results in collaboration with other departments (sales, production, quality, warehouse).
Do you enjoy working on improvements? In your role, you will also optimize existing processes, looking for how we can work even better, faster, and with higher quality. Think of designing and facilitating automation with robots or cobots.
Through your proactive attitude and your problem-solving skills, you prevent problems and always offer maximum solutions for our customer.
We would like to see your hands-on mentality reflected in your regular presence on the production floor, where you follow up on and check parts for our customers, and make adjustments where necessary.
