As an Electrical Engineering Work Preparer, you are the linchpin between design and execution. You ensure that the preparations for installing our electrotechnical installations run smoothly. From technical elaborations to material supply: you arrange it. Thanks to your work, our technicians can carry out the activities safely, efficiently, timely, and in the correct manner. You do all this within a close-knit, professional, and loyal company where we stand ready 'for each other' and where you truly experience the appreciation of your colleagues.
With us, you will find:
A gross salary between €3,391 and €4,962 per month;
A position where you work 4 or 5 days per week (32 or 40 hours). Working four days is no problem!
A close-knit, loyal, and professional team where you can truly be yourself! We also stand ready 'for each other'!
A role in which you directly receive a lot of responsibility and the freedom to advise clients based on your insights.
With us, everything is well organized: from development opportunities and chances to grow, to working with the latest technologies.
As soon as an assignment comes in and the Project Leader has organized the kick-off, you are ready. You delve into the goals, requirements, work budget, and the project specifications. With all the input, you get to work in AutoCAD or Revit, where you carefully process the (main) distribution boards, cable (trunking) routes, power, lighting, and data installations into the 3D models. Additionally, you draft clear instructions and ensure that all necessary information is always in order and available throughout the project. This way, everyone—from Site Manager to Technician—knows exactly what needs to be done.
But your role goes further than that. As an Electrical Engineering Work Preparer, you are the connecting factor within the team and switch effortlessly between different tasks. You order materials via 4PS, taking current prices and delivery times into account, and request targeted quotes from suppliers as needed. You excel at creating feasible schedules, monitoring progress, and ensuring everything is present on time. Because you maintain close contact with colleagues, you always know what is happening on the work floor. Is something going differently than planned? You remain calm, switch quickly with the right people—from client to subcontractor—and ensure the project continues smoothly.
As an experienced technician, you constantly think one step ahead. If you see a smarter or more efficient way of working, you proactively share it with the client. This way, customers feel heard and notice that you are truly thinking along with them. At the same time, you closely monitor the budget and ensure that all activities comply with the set quality and safety standards. Together with your colleagues, you ensure that every project is technically correct and delivered down to the last detail. Even after the final electrotechnical installations have been placed, you remain meticulous. You update revision drawings, fill in inspection forms, and ensure that all manuals and instructions are available digitally. In this way, you deliver not only quality but also confidence to the client.
As an Electrical Engineering Work Preparer, you are the connecting force behind the smart and efficient realization of electrotechnical solutions. In this position, it is about thinking ahead, switching quickly, and always searching for the most well-considered approach. You work with the latest technology, within a large and professional company that feels like a close family with short lines of communication. "And when you achieve beautiful results together that make customers truly enthusiastic, it gives an enormous kick and a sense of pride."
For one another!
With us, you work within a close-knit and familial company. You can feel that in everything. The atmosphere is professional, convivial, and familiar. As colleague Eric says, "the processes, materials, work clothing, and means of transport are always well organized. Additionally, we take responsibility, we know each other, and we help each other. Or, as we say ourselves: we are there 'for each other'". You notice this supportive attitude not only in the interaction with one another but also in the work. "Because we are there for each other, we can deliver quality and also ensure a pleasant working atmosphere—with room for a healthy dose of humor and conviviality." From day one, you feel at home at Van Dam Groep, thanks in part to the personal attention from both colleagues and management. With us, everything is discussable, from training to private situations. It truly feels like a family business."
Moreover, an entrepreneurial mentality prevails: we like to roll up our sleeves. You get the freedom here to make mistakes and learn from them. We actively think along with your development and value talent. Or as colleague Eric puts it beautifully: "I once started as a Work Preparer, and since then I have grown into the role of Head of Projects. In short: much is possible within our company."
Of course, our primary and secondary employment conditions are well-organized. We would like to list them for you:
A gross salary between €3,391 and €3,663 per month (based on 40 hours per week). We reward your commitment and experience with a salary that is 'for each other'!
25 vacation days and 13 ADV days with full-time employment.
A position for 32 to 40 hours per week. Working four days per week is no problem for us.
A workplace where you are allowed to be yourself and can develop. For this, we offer plenty of training, education, and development opportunities, with which you can keep your profession-related knowledge up to date.
Travel allowance for commuting.
Company laptop and phone.
8% holiday allowance and an excellent pension scheme.
A dose of positive energy. Additionally, you are attracted to laughing together and helping each other;
An accessible, down-to-earth, and realistic attitude.
You think in solutions and suggest possibilities for improvement. In doing so, you work decisively;
You are accurate and can think ahead and assess potential risks well.
You are known for overseeing and coordinating activities well.
Experience in the field as a Work Preparer, Site Manager, or Electrical Technician.
A completed MBO-4 education in Electrotechnics.
Knowledge of one or more design programs (AutoCAD, VABI, or Revit) is a plus, but not a requirement. We are happy to teach you the skills.
