The role
What will you do?
In our newly opened, future-oriented factory, we are looking for a fiber laser machine operator in a 5-shift system.
With a length of 75 meters, our laser line is one of the largest automated laser lines in Europe and consists of 3 fiber laser machines, 1 punch laser, and 2 robot-controlled press brake cells. The machine runs 24/7 and is operated by operators in 5-shift systems. This type of shift work is experienced and described as a mentally and physically friendly system.
What you'll do
- As an operator, you will operate our computer-controlled laser cutting machine. We are looking for multiple operators. Depending on your technical background and/or knowledge, we will look together with you at which level you can start in this position;
- As an Operator A, you will be trained so that you can eventually resolve malfunctions independently and perform first-line maintenance. You will perform quality control on the products and occasionally measure whether the product has the correct dimensions;
- Do you already have experience as a maintenance technician or are you willing to be further trained for this? Then you will grow into an Advanced Operator, and we expect that you will also be able to resolve more complex malfunctions independently or in consultation with the supplier;
- Working in a 5-shift system means that you work according to a fixed repetitive schedule: 2 morning shifts, 2 afternoon shifts, 2 night shifts, and then 4 days off. You work an average of 32.5 hours per week (excluding breaks).
How you'll work
The working hours are:
Morning shift: 06:00-14:15 (break 10:30-11:00)
Afternoon shift: 14:00-22:15 (break 18:30-19:00)
Night shift: 22:00-06:15 (break 02:30-03:00)
Every shift begins and ends with a handover, so that the activities are well-coordinated with each other.
