What we're looking for

You are the linchpin when it comes to realizing delicious chocolate bars. To become one of our new colleagues, we ask for relevant work experience. It is also important that you possess at least an MBO 3 diploma in the direction of (process) technology. As part of the (fast) application process, a short assessment will also be conducted to determine if you have the right insight.

Experience within the food industry is nice. Because then you know better than anyone what it is like to work with the hygiene standards that are the norm within our industry. But even if you do not have this yet, we are curious about who you are. After all, everyone has to start somewhere. For us, the most important thing is to hire colleagues who fit within our company. People who love to collaborate and want to move (forward), who love to improve, are focused on results, and think in solutions. People who are not afraid to take initiative and who see the work that needs to be done.

Pay & benefits

What you'll get

If you come to strengthen our team, you can expect a good package of employment conditions from us. In addition to a sense of security in a long-term job and many career opportunities, we offer you the following:

  • A good salary in the range of € 64,000 to € 73,000 gross per year including shift allowances, holiday allowance, and bonus.
  • 25 Vacation days.
  • After 6 days of work, you always have 4 days off. That makes a difference when you want to take your vacation!
  • A travel allowance of €0.23 per km, maximum 45km for a single trip (max. €20.70 net per day).
  • A meal allowance depending on the shift in which you work. A company canteen is open 24/7 (with some exceptions) where you can eat a delicious, varied meal for a small amount.
  • You also get the opportunity to buy delicious chocolate and other Mars, Royal Canin, Pedigree, Ben's Original, Dolmio products, etc., at a discount.
  • Other benefits include: a discount on your supplementary health insurance with CZ (2024) and, for example, €200 net per year for a gym membership or new sports shoes or other necessities.
  • A very good pension scheme where Mars doubles your voluntary pension contribution.
  • Very many training and education opportunities organized by our team of training professionals.

In addition to this certainly not unimportant financial piece, we ensure that you go through an extensive training program so that you fully master one of our production lines.

The role

As a Machine Operator, you ensure that the production process on the line runs smoothly. You do this from the packing room, i.e., the factory floor. During a shift, you will work on one of the production lines that you have been extensively trained on. Whether this is the line where we pack Celebrations! or where the Maltesers get their delicious airy character, we will decide that later (together).

The challenge is also that no single line with us is truly the same. Because of this, there is plenty to learn if you want to try something different sometime. And in that regard, we can switch quickly: usually, we arrange within a week that you can be trained on a new line. We work with both state-of-the-art installations and machines that need more attention. And where more tinkering is required. Depending on what you are good at, and what you would like to do, we will look at which line your skills fit best.

In short:

What you'll do

  • Technically ensuring that our machines work as they should work.
  • You have good technical skills.
  • You analyze the most common disruptions and you can resolve the disruptions.
  • You are responsible for good reporting of the shift.
  • You ensure a good handover to your colleagues at the end of your shift.

How you'll work

You are a doer, you strive for results, and you enjoy a bit of variety. And that is what we offer: both in working hours and tasks, so that you have plenty of time left for all the fun things in life, and you have a challenging job. You will work with us in a 5-shift schedule with a team of driven colleagues. And also great: after 6 days of work, you always have 4 days off with us.

And besides tasty things for people, we are also responsible for making A-brand pet food, such as Royal Canin and Pedigree. We do that together with 130,000 colleagues worldwide.
