Do you like working with your hands, do you have a technical background, and are you curious about the possibilities in the high-tech manufacturing industry? Then this Meet & Greet is for you.

Whether you already have experience as a CNC machinist, welder, or mechanic, or want to discover which possibilities exist within these fields: during this afternoon you will get a good impression of the work, the technology, and the working environment at VDL ETG Almelo.

You will meet employees from the field, see how parts, modules, and systems are made, and experience firsthand how things work within a high-tech production environment.

Our assembly departments are located mainly in cleanrooms. Here we assemble complex, often mechatronic modules and systems. In assembly, there are many different specialist teams that, for example, deal with large and small modules or the complete assembly.

In this machining department, we work with a modern and largely automated machine park. Our machines are equipped with controls from, among others, Heidenhain and Siemens. Programs are supplied by the CAM department or created directly on the shop floor. The variation in products is great: from parts of a few grams to workpieces of several tons.

In the welding department, we work with various materials, including stainless steel and aluminum. We also apply various welding processes, such as MIG/MAG, TIG, Duplex, and laser welding. Craftsmanship is central. That is why we offer plenty of opportunities to further develop yourself, for example via internal training and certified welding qualifications.

16:00 - 16:15: Reception at VDL ETG Almelo

16:15 - 16:30: Presentation

16:30 - 17:30: Factory tour

17:30 - 18:30: Speed dating with VDL colleagues

During the speed dating, you will meet employees from various fields and will have plenty of space to ask questions about the work, the technology, and the working environment.

This is followed by a tour of the factory. You will see the technology, the production environment, and perhaps even your future workplace.
