At TenneT, we work on an energy supply that keeps the Netherlands moving. As an Outage Planner, you make a direct impact on the future of our electricity grid. You are co-responsible for strengthening and optimizing the electricity grid, so that the Netherlands can continue to rely on reliable and sustainable energy.

Together with your colleagues, you are responsible for determining the grid security of electricity transmissions in the 110, 150, 220, and 380 kV grid in the Netherlands and of the electricity transmissions to and from abroad. The grid security of the high-voltage grid is determined on an annual and weekly level.

• You are the point of contact for the internal operators of TenneT's high-voltage grid and for the externally connected grid operators, producers, and customers.
• You assess whether various parts of the high-voltage grid can be taken out of service within the agreed frameworks (VNB).
• You draft the Long Term VNB, the annual plan, and the weekly planning including management measures. In doing so, you act in a critical-constructive manner and coordinate the proposals in a timely manner with all involved parties.

After a thorough induction period, as an Outage Planner, you will be able to carefully weigh the interests of internal and external customers against the possibilities for taking parts of the high-voltage grid out of service. With your knowledge of electricity production and the high-voltage grid, you know how to manage this in a well-founded manner.
