How do you keep the Netherlands powered? At TenneT, we work every day on a safe and reliable electricity grid. As a national grid operator, we design, build, and maintain the high-voltage grid of the Netherlands and play a key role in the energy transition. In the coming years, we will realize many new and complex projects. That is why we are looking for colleagues who want to contribute to the energy supply of the future. Your role in the energy transition
You are a strategic advisor for project teams and, at the same time, you get energy from rolling up your sleeves and working on the execution. You provide direction to the communication surrounding large infrastructural projects in a province where much is happening at once. Think of the construction of grid expansions in the Eindhoven region and the Maasbracht region and a new power highway between these two areas.
As a project communications advisor, you are the link between TenneT, project teams, stakeholders, and the surrounding environment. You advise project managers, environment managers, and project teams on complex communication issues and develop and execute communication strategies that contribute to predictable project processes and a well-informed environment. When creating your communication approach, you do not only look at your individual project, but you also monitor the coherence between projects within an area or region. You have an eye for the environment in which projects take place, identify opportunities and risks, and ensure a recognizable and consistent narrative towards residents, companies, governments, and other stakeholders. You develop and realize communication strategies and translate complex topics into clear communication for various target groups. You draw up communication plans, develop content for, among other things, newsletters, websites, and social media, and ensure a consistent and professional appearance of all communication expressions.
From an integrated approach, you work together with disciplines such as environment management, permits, land affairs, and project management. Additionally, you manage external communication partners and monitor quality, planning, budget, and strategy. Alongside your advisory and directing role, you actively contribute yourself to the execution of communication activities and content development.
At TenneT, we look for professionals who contribute to the successful realization of the energy transition. As a Project Communications Advisor, you ensure that complex energy infrastructure projects become understandable to their environment and you contribute to strong relationships with stakeholders, predictable project processes, and a clear narrative about the expansions of the electricity grid. Therefore, we ask of you:
You are a strong interlocutor for project managers, environment managers, and other disciplines within project teams. You switch effortlessly between strategy and execution: from developing communication approaches to organizing resident meetings, stakeholder discussions, and media contacts. You sense political and social sensitivities well, maintain an overview in a dynamic environment, and know how to bring different interests together. To make a difference in this role, you recognize yourself in the following competencies:
This position falls within the job profile Advisor - Communications Stakeholder Affairs, so that it is clear for both you and TenneT which responsibilities, expectations, and development opportunities belong to this role. TenneT offers you the chance to contribute to a sustainable energy future. Together with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders, you work on innovative solutions that make the energy transition possible. With us, you get the space to develop your talent and work in an environment where your growth is central. We encourage initiative and give you the space to come up with new ideas. We therefore offer you with full-time employment:
You will work in the South Region Environment Team, a multidisciplinary team in which environment management, project communication, permit management, and land affairs work closely together on an integrated approach for projects in Brabant and Limburg. In this dynamic environment, you work intensively with environment managers, project leaders, regional directors, regional communication advisors, and colleagues from Corporate Communication. Together, you ensure clear, timely, and proactive communication regarding infrastructural projects and current themes such as grid reinforcement, grid congestion, spatial integration, and the sustainability of industry, where connection between internal and external stakeholders is central.
