The role

For the start of the new school year in August/September 2026, we are looking for BBL All-round production technology machining employees Level 3. As an all-round machinist, you make products using complex computer-controlled machining tools, also known as CNC machines. With these machines, you can apply various machining techniques, such as milling and turning. You work with materials such as plastic, steel, cast iron, and aluminum. You work based on a technical drawing and program the machine using, for example, a CAD/CAM program. After that, you clamp the workpiece and let the machine do the work. After machining, you measure and check whether the product exactly meets the requirements on the drawing. As an all-round machinist, you also contribute ideas for new productions. You will be actively supported in this by our practical instructors. At school, you will learn to work with complex CNC machines in a safe manner. You will also receive lessons in CAD/CAM programming. For this, it is important that you have technical and spatial insight and can think abstractly.

Your strength

You have a VMBO Kader/GL or TL diploma, an MBO Level 2 diploma, a HAVO diploma, or a transition certificate from HAVO 3 to 4
You are interested in everything related to technology
You are a persevering person
You think it would be great to combine working and learning
You enjoy seeing results
You are curious and eager to learn new things
You enjoy working together with others in a team environment
You live in the Netherlands and possess a valid residence permit that allows you to work and study
You speak the Dutch language sufficiently, both orally and in writing. Lessons at school are given in Dutch and good communication is also important on the work floor
You register yourself at an MBO or HBO school. VDL does not arrange this, but we are happy to think along with you and can advise you on suitable courses and schools
