All-round Machinist (2-shift rotation)

What will you do?

You start with a short daily briefing: What is running, what are the priorities, and what do we need to stay sharp on? After that, you get to work on re-clamping orders, efficiently loading the automation, and monitoring quality. You work in a department focused on stable and smart production, including several 5-axis DMG milling machines (with pallet loading for 24/7 production); a horizontal 5-axis DMG with its own automation; a vertical 5-axis Hermle with its own automation (Hermle C42, cooled frame); a standalone 5-axis DMG; several 3-axis milling machines (DMG and Hermle); and a DMG lathe and an Agie wire EDM machine. Your main tasks are:

• You re-clamp and set up orders so that production can continue
• You schedule the automation as efficiently as possible (robot cells and pallet systems)
• You perform inspections and ensure quality through measurements, visual checks, and process monitoring
• You prepare machines for long unmanned milling runs and monitor continuity together with your colleagues
• You perform a tight shift handover: what is running smoothly, what is deviating, what requires attention?

You love working with precision and understand that automation only truly works if you think ahead: tooling, clamping, sequence, inspection, and handover. You communicate clearly with your colleagues, remain calm when something deviates, and are reliable in what you agree upon. In the department, we speak in Dutch or English. And you recognize yourself in the following points:

You will join a team of 16 colleagues (divided between day shift and 2 shifts), with a no-nonsense atmosphere: saying what you do and doing what you say. You will get modern machines, room to learn, and a role in which you truly have influence on output and quality.
