Pay & benefits

What you'll get

As a Lead Engineer, you will enter a technically driven environment where craftsmanship and collaboration are central. You will receive trust, responsibility, and the opportunity to make a real impact on our projects.

In addition, we offer you:

  • An independent and influential role within hardware engineering;

  • Working within a professional organization with short lines and direct communication;

  • The chance to improve processes and further develop technical standards;

  • Space for technical and personal growth through training and courses;

  • A market-conform salary appropriate to your knowledge and experience;

  • 25 vacation days + 13 ADV days (for full-time employment);

  • A good pension scheme;

  • Possibility to work partially from home;

  • A one-year contract with a view to permanent employment.

The role

For this position, we are looking for a Lead Engineer who combines technical depth with natural leadership. You know better than anyone how to structure complex hardware engineering trajectories, provide technical guidance to colleagues, and maintain an overview at the same time. You switch smoothly between detail level and a helicopter view and feel responsible for the total technical result.

At V&M Regeltechniek in Apeldoorn, you will get the space to provide direction to the engineering department and actively contribute to the further professionalization of our way of working.

What you'll do

As a Lead Engineer, you are responsible for the technical management of hardware engineering within our projects. You distribute tasks, monitor the schedule, and oversee the quality and uniformity of the design.

You act as the link between engineering and project management and are the point of contact for complex technical issues. In doing so, you actively participate in designing control panels and climate control installations. You stimulate standardization, safeguard knowledge within the team, and ensure that projects technically comply with the applicable standards and guidelines.

Specifically, you will be involved in:

  • Managing and coaching hardware engineers;

  • Monitoring progress, capacity, and deadlines;

  • Designing and checking electrotechnical diagrams (e.g., in EPLAN Electric P8);

  • Ensuring quality according to, among others, NEN-EN-IEC 61439;

  • Optimizing work processes and standard solutions;

  • Coordinating with project management regarding technical choices, risks, and progress;

  • Acting as a technical sparring partner within projects.
