About the team
Within the MEE (Mechanical & Electrical Engineering) department, the Electrical Design team is responsible for the design and integration of all (electrical) subsystems that together form a radar or combat management system. The products we design are used all over the world to build a future we can all trust.

The development of these systems requires a multidisciplinary approach using state-of-the-art technology, initiative, and teamwork. Our products operate and are maintained under extreme conditions. This requires us to look further and push the technical boundaries of components to meet these challenges.

About your future job
Do you want to further develop your leadership, technical, and teamwork skills? We are looking for someone who can be the electrical focal point for one of our product segments.

Are you able to coach, guide, and support multiple Electrical Engineers while promoting creativity and personal initiative? The Electrical Lead Engineer leads a diverse team of (junior-medior-senior) engineers to deliver products. We create our electrical schematics in Eplan and manage our products in our PLM system Windchill, while always looking for ways to optimize our working methods and software.

Do you create opportunities and use your influence to achieve important project milestones? The Electrical Lead Engineer works closely with the Hardware Architect and the Work Package Manager to design the radar and combat management systems of the future within time and budget.

You are able to anticipate project or customer requirements and quickly formulate original, far-reaching solutions. You work together with the Hardware Engineers in your team, Lead Engineers from other disciplines, and the Hardware Architect to design the solution.

On a typical day you will: discuss and document your design choices. Coach engineers from your team and help with technical problems or standards. Report on team progress to your project manager. Troubleshoot a problem in one of your designs or prototypes.

• Have a HBO or WO degree in the field of Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics.

• Is sought out for the most critical, complex problems.

• Team building and (technical) mentorship skills.

• Shows up to make the world better by building better products.

• Knows how to strike the balance between perfection and pace. You deliver on time and within budget.

• Has excellent oral and written communication skills in both Dutch and English.

• This position requires that you can obtain a Dutch security clearance.
