• You have a completed HBO or WO degree in Business Economics, Finance & Control, or Accountancy;

• You have demonstrable experience with financial advising in education, childcare, or the willingness to acquire specific knowledge of education and childcare advice;

As a Controller Education and Childcare, you are of great added value to the Education team. You are part of a team consisting of 6 direct colleagues. You work together towards a goal: a satisfied client. You do this on-site at the client or at the office during, for example, the fixed office day. You also work together with colleagues from the Business Solutions team, and the Personnel and Payroll Administration team for Education and SMEs. You function as a strategic sounding board for the board of the education and childcare institution, and you ensure that you are up to date with relevant current affairs at your clients. You also audit the financial administration and identify improvements on how the quality of the financial administration can be increased.

A glimpse of your tasks:

• You occasionally fulfill the controller function on a temporary basis and work on an interim basis for a board;

• You guide the client in the setup and implementation of AFAS together with your colleagues from Business Solutions;

• You advise the board in the field of administrative organization, regarding possible process optimization, and on various current issues;

• You discuss the more complex interim reports and annual accounts with the client;

• You prepare the provisional annual accounts and the balance sheet file;

• You prepare interim reports and budgets;

• You identify opportunities through your proactive approach to the market;

• You identify professional and current developments and translate these into the client's practical situation;

• You engage the right internal specialists for issues where your knowledge is not entirely sufficient.

You possess analytical, problem-solving, and learning abilities. You are clear in your communication and pleasant to interact with. Additionally, you are helpful, customer-oriented, accurate, and integer. You can set priorities and meet deadlines, even in busy situations. You do not lose sight of the quality of service.
