Software Verification Engineer (32 - 40 hours per week)
Thales designs extremely modern radar systems and optical sensors that form part of a complete and integrated defense system. The product portfolio ranges from small portable radars for, for example, border or object surveillance to complex four-dimensional radars that can detect small objects at distances of hundreds to thousands of kilometers.
About the job
Within this Sensor processing group, the complete radar software is developed. This includes various domains including the control of the radar systems, the organization of the radar transmissions, and the processing of the digital information flow. The ultimate goal is to detect and classify specific objects, such as aircraft and drones, for example, to track them and display them on an operator console. This involves working in multidisciplinary teams together with specialists in the fields of systems engineering, functional sensor design, and the design and realization of real-time systems.
The software architecture is designed in a highly modular way and supports the development of robust and evolutionary systems. Development takes place in Agile teams supported by a modern development pipeline. The further development and maintenance of the architecture, the development pipeline, and the Agile process is carried out by the teams themselves.
As a Software Verification Engineer, you work at the end of this chain, in which you test and validate the integrated software modules. In this role, you are part of a project team and work closely with the other engineers. The ultimate goal is that the integrated software works according to the requirements and our expectations.
