In the position of System Test Engineer, you will be part of a team of engineers and technicians working on behalf of Thales Hengelo at the maintenance organization of the Royal Netherlands Navy (DMI) in Den Helder. The Navy has multiple ships equipped with high-tech radar systems from Thales and requires support throughout their entire lifecycle. Additionally, radar systems for the Royal Netherlands Army are also maintained in Den Helder. Together with the team, you are responsible for the execution of various service activities.
We offer the opportunity to work in an exciting and technically challenging domain involving the integration of radar and electro-optical systems. These systems include ultra-modern radar antennas, processing, and support systems. In the role of System Test Engineer, you will work on these systems throughout their entire lifecycle and independently integrate and test radar and electro-optical systems.
The onboarding process for the position takes place at Thales in Hengelo for a period between 6 and 12 months, depending on your knowledge and experience. During this period, you will follow various training courses and familiarize yourself with the GM200 system. In Den Helder, you will also be trained on other Thales systems.
After the first 6 to 12 months, you will work primarily on-site with the Navy and potentially at customer locations worldwide to deliver our services to customers to ensure that the systems remain operationally available. Occasionally, you will work at Thales in Hengelo.
