The role

Location: Hengelo, Netherlands

For the SMU Team (Sensor Management Unit), we are looking for a software engineer (C/C++) with strong analytical skills and effective communication abilities. You will not only be a developer writing software but also be involved in integrations and troubleshooting, primarily ensuring the software operates correctly across various radar systems. In this role, you will act as a connector across disciplines and work within a close-knit team.

What you'll do

Within this Sensor Processing group, the complete radar software is developed. This includes various domains such as controlling the radar systems, organizing radar transmissions, and processing the digital information stream. The ultimate goal is to detect and classify specific objects, such as aircraft and drones, track them, and display them on an operator console.

The software architecture is designed to be highly modular and supports the development of robust and evolutionary systems. Development takes place in Agile teams supported by a modern development toolchain. The teams themselves are responsible for the ongoing development and maintenance of the architecture, the toolchain, and the Agile process.

About you

Do you have a passion for technology and enjoy working on radar controls or complex algorithms? Then you might be the person we are looking for. We would like to offer you the opportunity to build a career in the international high-tech environment at Thales.
