At Maintain Substations B, we work daily on maintaining and ensuring the availability of high-voltage substations in the provinces of Drenthe and Overijssel, so that the Netherlands can continue to rely on a reliable electricity grid tomorrow. As a Substation Technician, you are responsible for the safe and reliable functioning of high-voltage installations, so that the Netherlands can continue to rely on reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy.

• You perform condition measurements on primary and secondary installations, signal deviations, and take appropriate actions so that installations remain safely and reliably available.
• You locate, analyze, and resolve faults in high-voltage installations to ensure the security of supply of the electricity grid.
• You prepare maintenance work, carry it out, and report the results carefully so that activities comply with the applicable safety and quality requirements.
• You supervise work on network switches and provide improvement proposals for working methods, installations, and equipment so that maintenance processes are continuously improved.
• You maintain safety supervision over the work of contractors and other involved parties so that work is carried out according to the highest safety standards.
• You participate in the fault standby service so that rapid and adequate action can be taken during disruptions.

You are part of the Maintain Substations B team, consisting of approximately 25 colleagues. Within the Drenthe and Overijssel work area, you work daily on the reliability and availability of the high-voltage assets entrusted to TenneT and report to Bart Sluijs.
