Why working at Stedin gives you energy:
As a Protection Technician, you ensure that our protection systems in high-voltage and medium-voltage stations continue to work reliably. By testing, analyzing, and performing replacements and repairs, you guarantee the safety of the energy grid. In this way, you contribute directly to a stable and future-proof energy system.
A day as a Protection Technician:
You start the day at a high-voltage station, where you discuss the planning, safety agreements, and specifics together with specialist colleagues.
Afterwards, you get to work on location: Based on technical drawings, you perform maintenance and repair work. You test the protection assets according to clear protocols and pay close attention to station-specific characteristics that could influence the test results.
Do you detect deviations? Then, if necessary, you consult with the Operational Manager or OIV and elaborate your findings in a clear report.
You work with diverse systems: from modern digital protections to older installations where manual repairs and replacements of protection assets are sometimes required.
At the end of the day, you send your report, leave the station tidy, and look ahead to tomorrow's tasks.
Take the step toward your next challenge. We look forward to meeting you.
You will join the Station Systems team within the high-voltage chain. A dedicated and close-knit team of approximately 19 specialists, responsible for secondary technology in the fields of protection, automation, and transmission systems. You step into an environment with clear agreements, a permanent manager, and colleagues who are ready to welcome you and make your transition as carefree as possible.
