IT Configuration Manager

• A completed HBO or WO degree in Computer Science, IT Service Management, Business Informatics, or a similar domain.
• Demonstrable experience in Configuration Management, CMDB management, and IT Service Management processes within a complex IT environment.
• Knowledge of ITIL and experience with CMDB tooling such as TOPdesk, UCMDB, or similar solutions.
• Experience with data governance, data quality, and stakeholder management to safeguard processes across the organization.
• Professional command of the Dutch and English languages.

As an IT Configuration Manager, you are responsible for developing, implementing, and safeguarding the Configuration Management process within TenneT. You ensure that configuration data for applications, services, and infrastructure is recorded and managed in a consistent, reliable, and up-to-date manner, so that the Netherlands can continue to rely on reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy.

Additionally, you are responsible for, among other things:

• Acting as the owner of the Configuration Management process by defining, communicating, and continuously improving processes, working methods, and responsibilities within the organization.
• Safeguarding data quality and CMDB governance by supervising the completeness, timeliness, and reliability of configuration data and initiating improvement actions when discrepancies are identified.
• Coordinating stakeholders within the Configuration Management process by guiding Service Managers, Technical Application Managers, and other stakeholders in recording and maintaining configuration data and relationships between applications, services, and infrastructure.
• Translating policy frameworks and standards into processes and guidelines so that configuration data is managed in a uniform manner and aligns with the needs of IT Operations, Service Management, and architecture.
• Monitoring and reporting on CMDB maturity and data quality through KPIs, health reports, and management information, and sharing insights to further increase the quality of the configuration administration.
• Supporting change initiatives and projects by ensuring that new services, applications, and platforms are correctly incorporated into the Configuration Management process and the CMDB.
• Stimulating continuous improvement by periodically evaluating processes, tooling, and governance and identifying optimizations that contribute to higher data quality and more efficient business operations.
