Final Editor Lachen Om Home Video's / Program Composition

Talpa Network is looking for an experienced final editor for the Program Composition department. In this role, you are primarily responsible for Lachen Om Home Video's and, in addition, hold final editorial responsibility for various other programs and adaptations. Do you roll off the couch every Saturday laughing at Lachen Om Home Video's and do you daydream daily to Droomhuis op het Platteland? Do you have a sharp editorial eye, are you strong in managing creative processes, and do you have extensive experience with editing processes? Then we would love to meet you.

A large number of international series and programs can be seen on the various Talpa channels. These are given a Dutch touch by the Program Composition department. Additionally, the Lachen Om Home Video's department produces for SBS6. As a final editor, you are responsible for the entire production process of this program: from the purchase of the footage and the coordination of the entire making process to the final editorial and technical control of the end product. In addition to Lachen Om Home Video's, you bear responsibility for other programs and adaptations within the department. You manage compositors and freelancers, edit and rewrite voice-over texts, and maintain contact with the channels and other internal and external stakeholders. In short: you are the pivot between production, channel, and editing.

• We are looking for an experienced and committed final editor with a great sense of responsibility;

• You can manage multiple processes simultaneously, work accurately under time pressure, analyze stories sharply, and know how to effectively guide creative and technical teams toward a strong end result;

• You enjoy working in a team, but can also work well independently;

• You are a strong communicator, resourceful, and decisive;

• You dare to make independent editorial choices and know how to set priorities to meet deadlines;

• You have an eye for detail and love the puzzle work required to make an episode truly good;

• You have at least five years of relevant experience within television production, preferably including several years as a final editor or in a coordinating editorial role;

• You are proficient with Avid or Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Word, and Excel;

• You have at least an MBO-4 or HBO education in the direction of Media.

AI is changing the way we work, create, and innovate. At Talpa, we expect you to be curious about the possibilities of AI and to use them actively and responsibly, where relevant to your role, to make your work smarter, better, and more creative. You continue to develop yourself in this, share insights with colleagues, and keep an eye on both the opportunities and the risks of AI, including privacy, security, and reliability.

• A vibrant working environment. Our building in Hilversum houses both radio and TV studios as well as supporting teams;

• A diverse and friendly team with different ages and backgrounds;

• A good salary, appropriate to your education and work experience;

• An NS business card which you may also use for private travel, or a mileage allowance;

• The flexibility to work partly from home and to optimally set up your home workspace;

• A wide choice of various masterclasses, knowledge sessions, and (team) trainings to give your development an impulse;

• Access to OpenUp because we value your well-being, so you can always work on your mental well-being, whether you need a good conversation or practical tips to stay in balance;

• Social drinks with all colleagues in our own pub;

• Sports facilities (weekly bootcamp and boxing class and free use of our own in-house gym).
