Millions of Dutch people rely on Hart van Nederland daily for the latest news. Through our social media, website, the radio stations of Talpa Network, and of course on television (SBS6), we keep the Netherlands continuously informed.

Our editorial team operates from early morning until late at night. As a producer, you will work primarily in the afternoon and evening and play a crucial role in the preparation of our 17:50 and 22:40 broadcasts.

As a producer, you are responsible for assembling reports for our broadcasts. You are continuously up to date with the latest news and know how to switch quickly between different topics. You select the most striking footage and the strongest interview fragments and process these into clear and balanced reports in which all sides of the story are highlighted.

You work intensively with fellow producers, the editor-in-chief, and presenters to ensure that everything is ready on time for broadcast under time pressure. You edit footage from reporters who have been out across the entire country: from heartwarming actions and special events to major incidents, court cases, and political developments in The Hague.

You have a sharp sense for news and know what is happening in the Netherlands. You understand what concerns people, both in the city and in the regions. In your reports, the 'ordinary Dutchman' is central. You help viewers get answers to questions such as: what happened and what does this mean for me? In doing so, you work accurately, maintain an overview under time pressure, and ensure that the news is told clearly and factually correctly.

• You are broadly interested and well-informed about the latest news, with an emphasis on stories and developments in the Netherlands;

• You are strong in video editing, preferably with AVID. You find it a challenge to write understandable news texts that appeal to our viewers, without jargon;

• You can work well under time pressure; daily deadlines are part of our work;

• You do not find irregular working hours a problem. Our work continues 365 days a year, so you will sometimes work early in the morning, regularly in the evening, and on weekends.
