A unique workplace
As an acute internist, you will truly have your feet in the clay here: in the ER, you are often personally present during the ambulance handover and you see patients from all consultative specialties. That means a lot of hands-on work, working in the real acute phase, and exposure well beyond pure internal medicine. That is quite unique!

We work in a very pleasant team with experienced ER physicians, nurses, and physician assistants, in which we supervise ANIOS and HAIOS. We contribute to education with scenario training, and POCUS is our daily practice.

At the AOA, we carry out the medical coordination for patients from various consultative fields. Here too, there is always good support from the involved specialists and there is a warm and enthusiastic team of nurses.

With 6 acute medicine internists, we are well represented at St Jansdal and we are active across three departments. In the Emergency Department (+ EHH), we work in one team with the ER physicians. At the Acute Admission Department (AOA), we carry out the medical coordination for the consultative specialties. Furthermore, we work two days a week in Lelystad at the emergency street for the elderly and the emergency internal medicine clinic.

You are a (prospective) internist-acute medicine or a broadly acute-differentiated internist with a broad perspective and a warm heart for the patient.
