Senior Frontend Developer

What are your qualifications?
As a senior frontend developer, we expect you to:

• Have at least 5 years of work experience in frontend development
• Have experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular
• Have experience with TypeScript and component-based development
• Have knowledge of CSS-in-JS, Styled Components, Tailwind CSS, or other modern styling solutions
• Have experience with testing methodologies (unit, integration, end-to-end testing) and tools such as Jest, Testing Library, or Cypress
• Be familiar with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps principles for frontend development
• Have experience working in an agile scrum environment
• Contribute to software architecture and technical design
• Enjoy working in a team environment
• Bring a positive mindset and solution-oriented attitude
• Be able to transfer knowledge and experience with pleasure
• Have a Bachelor's in Computer Science or a relevant equivalent education
• Speak at least Dutch at a B1/B2 level

• A permanent contract and a salary between €4,500 and €6,500 gross per month (based on 40

hours per week). The exact scaling depends on your experience and the role;

• 8% holiday allowance;

• A generous mobility budget in the form of a lease arrangement of €1,022 - 1,209, with the choice of an

electric lease car with NS Business Card, or a leased bicycle, or an alternative transport arrangement of

€930 - 1,113 net, whichever best suits your way of traveling;

• 8% profit sharing on target (or a fixed OTB amount, depending on the position);

• 27 paid vacation days;

• Flex Benefits budget of €1,800 per year.

This budget can be used for things such as purchasing extra days off or extra savings in your

pension scheme;

As a Senior Frontend developer at JSRoots, an assignment may include the following:

• Rewriting an existing monolithic frontend application into a modern microfrontend architecture.
• Optimizing the load time and performance of a complex Single Page Application (SPA).
• Implementing a Design System with components in React, Vue, or Angular.
• Migrating a legacy UI to a modern stack using, for example, React and TypeScript.
• Setting up a frontend CI/CD pipeline with tools such as Vite, Webpack, Jest, and Cypress.
• Integrating a Progressive Web App (PWA) to support offline functionalities.
• Advising on UX/UI optimizations and accessibility (WCAG) within the organization.
• Working with APIs and state management solutions such as Redux, Vuex, or Recoil.
