Security Consultant (Governance, Risk & Compliance)

• A completed HBO or WO degree, preferably with a focus on IT, Cyber Security, Security Management, or crisis management. 

• Certifications in the field of information security, such as CISM, ISO27001 Lead Implementer, CRISC, or CISSP. Additionally, a certification such as OSCP, or the willingness to obtain one. 

• At least 3 years of experience in information security. 

• Fluent Dutch and good command of English. 

• Strong foundational knowledge and experience in the field of information security.

Governance, Risk and Compliance   
Within our GRC department, you ensure that organizations can operate in a structured and demonstrably secure manner. You advise on security policies, frameworks, and strategic choices, and help organizations make risks transparent and define appropriate measures. To achieve this, you work closely with technical teams, management, and various stakeholders, so that security decisions align with both operational and governance needs. 

Your activities vary per assignment: you perform risk analyses, maturity assessments and compliance checks, or you support audits, guide improvement trajectories, and ensure that processes and responsibilities are clearly established. You also play an important role in awareness and organizational change: you help employees, management, and teams understand why security measures are necessary and how they contribute to reliable and responsible digital services.
