Platform Pioneer Training Program

• A completed HBO or WO degree in IT or a STEM field
• 1–2 years of experience in an IT role (towards DevOps, Cloud, or Software Engineering)
• Basic knowledge of IT and/or programming
• Interest in cloud, DevOps, and automation
• Eagerness to learn and the motivation to develop yourself quickly
• You can work at least 3 days per week in the office (Nieuwegein) during the program
• You master the Dutch language at a professional working level

As a Platform Pioneer, you will start at Sopra Steria in an intensive three-month program starting in January 2027, after which you will get to work with the coolest customers and projects.
    
During this program, you will be trained as a (Junior) DevOps Platform Engineer by working on a realistic DevOps project. Together with other Platform Pioneers, you will build a modern cloud-native platform, guided by experienced DevOps and cloud specialists.

You will work according to Agile/Scrum, run sprints, give demos, and conclude the trajectory with a final presentation as if you were at a client site. Upon completion, you will be ready to be deployed at Sopra Steria's customers.

During the Platform Pioneers program, you will learn, among other things:

• Working with Git as a single source of truth
• Containerization with Docker according to best practices
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform
• Kubernetes fundamentals on Azure (AKS)
• Building CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps
• Applying GitOps with Argo CD
• Working with multiple environments (DEV/ACC/PROD)
• Basic DevSecOps and security scanning
• Documenting and transferring platforms
