As an Electrical Engineering Claims Expert, you investigate technical damages, determine their causes, and guide clients through the handling of complex files. As an Electrical Engineering Claims Expert, you investigate technical damage cases for individuals, companies, and organizations. Thanks to your technical insight, you know how to analyze malfunctions, defects, and causes of damage and report them clearly.

Concretely, this means you:

• investigates technical damages in electrical installations, machinery, security systems, and other electrotechnical applications;
• determines causes of damage and assesses which repair measures are necessary;
• guides clients, the insured, and principals throughout the expertise process;
• carries out site visits and translates findings into clear and objective reports;
• manages expectations and communicates complex technical information understandably to various involved parties;
• develops yourself into a specialist within the field of claims expertise.

For this position, we are not looking for an experienced claims expert. Much more important is a strong technical foundation, an investigative mindset, and the motivation to learn a new profession.

In addition, you possess:

• a completed education in a technical field, preferably electrical engineering;
• approximately five years of experience within a technical role;
• experience with, for example, switchboards, control cabinets, security technology, access control, telephony and ICT installations, or as a fault technician;
• strong analytical skills and a natural curiosity about the cause behind technical problems;
• good commercial skills and the ability to build relationships independently;
• strong communication skills and a smooth oral and written command of Dutch.
