  • This team consists of doers. People who do not wait around, but switch gears. Who help each other and always go for the best solution. You are the face of Asset Management on the floor. You know the operation, understand where things get critical, and intervene before things go wrong.

As a Technical Floor Supervisor, you ensure that technology keeps running. Period. You direct technicians, coordinate with operations and contractors, and roll up your sleeves yourself where possible. You don't wait around. You see what is happening and intervene. Direction is provided from the IACC, the heart of Schiphol's asset operation. This is where it happens. You are right in the middle of it. Between the control room and the work floor. You coordinate directly with everyone who is needed and only stop when everything is running again. You work in a full continuous 24/7 roster: early, late, and night shifts, on weekdays and on weekends.

Schiphol connects your world. With the best people, we make travel safe and responsible. You contribute to this with your unique talents, such as the way you set your goals clearly and achieve them on time according to a good plan, and being open to feedback and to new knowledge and information. What you'll do

  • Continuous monitoring of installations and assets. You see malfunctions coming, recognize the impact immediately, and deploy actions before it escalates.
  • Taking and maintaining control during malfunctions. You direct technicians and contractors, determine priorities together with the IACC, and ensure that the work is finished. Not halfway, but resolved.
  • Resolving small malfunctions yourself. You tackle simple technical issues immediately. No waiting time, no handover - you fix it.
  • Switching gears and communicating as the linchpin. You keep everyone hooked: control room, operations, asset teams, and contractors. Clear, direct, and without noise.
  • Acting during incidents and calamities. You remain calm under pressure, scale up where necessary, and ensure that situations are resolved safely and in a controlled manner.
  • Improving instead of repeating. You see patterns in malfunctions and ensure they are addressed structurally. You think ahead.
