What we're looking for

  • HBO (Higher Professional Education) level of working and thinking;
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership experience within a production, logistics, or operational environment;
  • Experience with managing, coaching, and developing teams;

At SPITS, we ensure that thousands of patients receive their medication safely, correctly, and on time. As Operations Supervisor, you will play a key role in this. You will lead a dynamic production environment in which quality, safety, and continuous improvement are central.

You are responsible for a part of our operation and know how to optimally connect employees, team coordinators, and processes. Thanks to your leadership, organizational talent, and focus on quality, our production continues to run smoothly and together we achieve our ambitious goals.

You report directly to the Operations Manager and work closely with Team Coordinators, Quality Assurance, HR, and other internal stakeholders.

What you'll do

As Operations Supervisor, you are responsible for the daily management of a part of our production organization. Together with fellow supervisors, you manage a department of approximately 60 FTE and are responsible for a team of about 25 to 35 employees per shift.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

  • Leading daily shift starts and operational meetings;
  • Managing, coaching, and developing Team Coordinators and employees;
  • Conducting performance, development, and appraisal interviews;
  • Ensuring good onboarding and guidance of new employees;
  • Creating an engaged, safe, and positive working environment.
  • Aligning staffing levels with the workload;
  • Identifying capacity issues and bottlenecks;
  • Coordinating activities so that production objectives are met;
  • Guiding absenteeism processes in collaboration with HR.
  • Monitoring progress, quality, and productivity within the operation;
  • Supervising compliance with GMP, GDP, safety, and hygiene guidelines;
  • Identifying, analyzing, and correcting deviations in processes;
  • Preparing reports and analyzing operational performance.
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement in processes and working methods;
  • Initiating and implementing improvement projects;
  • Contributing to operational excellence and Lean initiatives;
  • Playing an active role in organization-wide implementation and change processes.
