IT/OT Engineer

• You will help build the Schiphol Operations domain: you ensure that Schiphol employees and supply chain partners have reliable information to be able to improve or to demonstrate that we are compliant.

You work in the team that contributes daily to a safe, reliable, and smooth passenger journey, from arrival and border crossing to departure. As an IT/OT Engineer, you are responsible for the technical management of our assets and the associated applications. And how you approach this? That is up to you. We rely on your ability to distinguish between main and secondary matters and to establish connections. You will apply your talents to:

• managing and maintaining IT and OT systems, including both the software and the physical hardware at the terminal.
• drafting maintenance concepts and translating maintenance concepts into concrete maintenance plans.
• ensuring that maintenance work is carried out correctly and on time based on the maintenance plans.
• monitoring the SLA in collaboration with the Service Owners and directing the implementation of hardware assets within new construction and maintenance projects.
• taking over the management of IT assets in new construction and maintenance projects, including performing acceptance tests.
• ensuring the CMDB (Configuration Management DataBase) is kept up to date and maintaining and expanding management documentation.
• managing incidents, changes, and problems to optimally support Schiphol operations.
• thinking along about quality norms and standards in the field of asset management and proactively proposing improvements or new concepts in the field of asset management.

The role requires collaboration with internal teams and suppliers to quickly resolve and prevent malfunctions and to keep systems up-to-date. You work with ITIL processes and monitoring tools such as Splunk. Additionally, you contribute to improvement processes and optimizations for applications and hardware. You are regularly at the terminal for implementations, maintenance, and the optimization of applications and hardware.

• mbo/hbo working and thinking level.
• at least 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in technical management, asset, or maintenance management of IT and/or OT systems.
• knowledge of software architecture and hardware properties of (embedded) assets.
• knowledge of networks, security, and systems engineering, with a practical understanding of electronics and mechanics.
• experience with ITIL processes and an ITSM tool such as Maximo or similar.
• experience with monitoring tools is a plus.
