The role

Are you an organizational talent who gets energy from structure, service, and collaboration? As a Support & Office Assistant, you will support the RDM program team with administrative, financial, and facility tasks. You will provide oversight, support colleagues, and contribute to a professional working environment.

You will work at a unique location in the Port of Rotterdam, where education, business, and government collaborate on innovation and talent development.

What you'll do

As a Support & Office Assistant, you are an important link within the RDM program team. You ensure that administrative, financial, and facility processes are well organized and support colleagues in the daily execution of their tasks. No two days are the same: one moment you are processing invoices or assisting with reports, the next you are receiving visitors or helping to organize a meeting.

Your duties include

  • Supporting administrative processes, reporting, and documentation.
  • Processing and checking invoices and supporting financial-administrative tasks.
  • Coordinating facility matters such as stock, key, and space management.
  • Liaising with suppliers, technical management, and other internal and external contacts.
  • Organizing and facilitating meetings, gatherings, events, and tours.
  • Receiving visitors and supporting tenants and users of the RDM Flex Office.

You will work closely with the other Support Assistant. Together, you will ensure professional, reliable, and continuous support for the team. In doing so, you will distribute tasks, cover for each other during absences, and jointly contribute to a well-organized working environment.

Due to the nature of the work, presence on location is important. Around meetings or events, occasional deployment outside regular working hours may be requested.

What makes you successful?

  • Customer focus: You understand what colleagues, visitors, tenants, and partners need and provide appropriate support.

  • Quality focus: You work carefully and accurately and ensure that administrative and financial processes run correctly.

  • Result orientation: You maintain oversight, set priorities, and take responsibility for completing tasks and agreements.

  • Open communication: You communicate clearly, honestly, and respectfully. You express expectations, make bottlenecks discussable, and dare to give and receive feedback.
