About the company & team

Port of Rotterdam plays an important role in the vital infrastructure of the Netherlands and in the largest port in Europe. Our digital ambition is great: we want to be the smartest port in the world.

We are working towards a future in which we use modern technology to make our processes flexible, reliable, and efficient. In this way, we ensure that colleagues within the Port Authority can work optimally and that the organization is supported with appropriate, secure, and future-oriented IT solutions.

The Information & Digital Technology (I&DT) department develops, implements, and manages digital products and services. In doing so, we contribute to the digital data strategy of the Port of Rotterdam and to the digitalization of the port as a whole.

Within I&DT, you will work in the Enabling Technology & Services (ET&S) department. This department is responsible for generic and cross-departmental digital services. ET&S focuses on three domains:

Digital Workplace, IT Networks, Infrastructure & Digital Identity
Data Collaboration & Integration
Data Technology & Information Services

For the Data Technology & Information Services (DTIS) domain, we are looking for an experienced Product Owner Data Platforms.

DTIS is a dedicated team working on the development of modern data analytics capabilities. The team collects data from internal and external sources from our own organization and from the port ecosystem. This data is stored in our central data lakehouse and made available for, among other things, business intelligence, data science, and AI applications.

We work according to Lean/Agile principles and a DevOps way of working. Within DTIS, we collectively contribute to a solid data foundation, so that data can be used reliably, transparently, and valuably for decision-making and innovation.
