(Hilversum | 36 hours per week | CAO contract | max. € 6,103 at 36 hours)
You work from Hilversum and according to a roster that varies between 04:30 in the morning and 00:30 at night. During the week, but also on weekends and public holidays.
If something happens anywhere in the world, the NOS is there. News, Sport, and Events. We are there 24 hours a day and 365 days a year for everyone on all imaginable platforms: from television to Instagram, from YouTube to radio, from Teletext to Facebook, from NOS.nl and the NOS app to X, Instagram, and TikTok.
The TV Editorial department consists of a team of journalists who form the hub of the TV news broadcasts.
We are looking for two new colleagues for the TV Editorial department.
In consultation with the coordinators of the Domestic, Foreign, Economy, and The Hague newsrooms, you devise and select topics and assemble the news broadcasts. You are in constant contact with the presenter, director, reporters, editors, correspondents—in short: everyone who contributes to the broadcasts under your responsibility.
With the TV editors, reporters, and correspondents, you discuss how the topics are produced. You check the texts and the video edits and, together with the presenter, adjust the presentation scripts so that it becomes a program.
If there are journalistic dilemmas, colleagues can come to you and you solve them together.
During major breaking news, you create long live broadcasts together with a fellow Editor-in-Chief. Occasionally, you also work on location for special broadcasts, such as during elections.
The NOS has the task of reporting on news, sport, and events in the Netherlands and beyond for as wide an audience as possible. We want to show the world as it is, in all its diversity. In doing so, it is important that the listener, reader, and viewer recognizes themselves in our reporting and can gain insight into different perspectives.
We do our best to do this in an open and unbiased manner, both in what we show and how we work.
Why would you choose a career at the NOS? Because we don't just bring news, but are also an inspiring workplace where your contribution makes a difference.
Working at the NOS is interesting, socially relevant, and very fun!
At the NOS, we want to be a reflection of society in both our reporting and our workforce. Do you contribute to this? Then we would love for you to come work with us.
