• You are available from December (or January) for 40 hours per week and are flexibly deployable: you also work in the evening and on the weekend.

• You have experience within a news or current affairs environment, for example at a current affairs program, news editorial office, or similar production.

• You are curious, think ahead, and understand what is needed to make news productions possible.

• You are a strong communicator and find it natural to make many calls and emails to colleagues and external parties.

• You are practically minded, switch easily between different tasks, and maintain an overview in an environment where plans can change continuously.

• You have a great interest in news and current affairs and follow what is happening in the Netherlands and the rest of the world.

• You work carefully and have an eye for detail, even when the pressure is high.

What you will do as Producer RTL Nieuws

As a producer, you ensure that the daily operations on the news floor run smoothly. You support editors and reporters, coordinate the practical and organizational matters behind news items and broadcasts, and ensure that the editorial team can respond quickly to current events. This allows them to focus fully on making news. In this role, you are responsible for, among other things:

• Planning the deployment of camera crews and other facilities, so that reporters can always head out.

• Coordinating (live) connections, such as LiveU's and external deliveries.

• Arranging the complete logistics surrounding productions, from transport to hotel stays.

• Organizing and supervising foreign travel; from drafting budgets and arranging insurance to the preparation of trips to high-risk areas.

• Liaising with colleagues, suppliers, and external parties to ensure productions run smoothly.
