Entomology Intern

Are you interested in sustainable agriculture and innovative pest control? We offer challenging internship positions within two research projects focused on the biological control of insects in horticulture.

You can contribute to, among others, the following projects:

• An innovative nitrogen method (BPC) where pest insects are selectively controlled without damage to the crop

• Biological control in onion cultivation, with a focus on natural enemies and integrated pest management (IPM)

As an Entomology Intern, you will support the team with various research studies. Additionally, during your internship, you will gain practical experience and contribute to more sustainable agriculture.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

• Carrying out lab, greenhouse, and field trials

• Collecting and analyzing data (crops and insects)

• Monitoring and identifying insects and natural enemies

• Literature research and reporting

• Collaborating with growers and project partners

• A varied and educational internship with real practical challenges

• Valuable experience within administration in the food sector

• Room for your own initiative and your ideas

• Working in a friendly and involved team

• Guidance by professionals

• An internship allowance

• An internship period starting from September 2026 or February 2027
