In the bicycle parking in Groningen, a diverse and experienced team of bicycle technicians, assistant unit leaders, a unit leader, and service employees works. Many employees have been working together for a long time and form a close-knit team. Together with the assistant unit leaders, you will guide and lead the team.

You work at the moments required to let the bicycle parking function optimally. This way, you remain closely involved with your team and ensure that daily operations run smoothly. You lead a team of bicycle mechanics and service employees who perform various tasks: from bicycle repairs to helping travelers with checking in and out. You actively project your passion for hospitality and inspire your team to offer every traveler the best service.

As a location manager, you are there for your team. You answer questions, offer support, and ensure structure on the work floor. You will be busy with creating schedules, monitoring stock, and maintaining reports regarding, among other things, hours worked, conversations, and absenteeism. Additionally, you will actively participate in the operations yourself.

You celebrate successes together with your team and create a positive and engaged working atmosphere. You are hands-on, make independent decisions in challenging situations, and ensure a good balance between daily management and the development of your employees. In this way, you help your team grow and make a difference for travelers every single day.

We can offer our new colleague a contract for 38 hours per week.

Our new location manager must therefore be flexibly deployable, during the week and on the weekend, morning, afternoon, and evening. You have control over the schedule, but also work at times when this is necessary for the optimal functioning of the parking facility.

It is also important that you can be present at the location on time, independently of public transport.

As a leader, you strive for the best experience for the travelers and you know how to make your employees enthusiastic about it too. You can manage different target groups appropriately and switch easily between tasks and communication styles.

Furthermore, you recognize yourself in the following points:

• You have at least an MBO level of work and thinking and experience in leadership.
• You have an affinity for technology and enjoy working with people.
• You are customer-oriented, hospitable, and possess good communication skills. You have a good command of the Dutch language.
• You have an affinity with or experience in coaching employees with a distance to the labor market.
• You are flexibly deployable and can work both during the week and on the weekend.
• Experience with scheduling and inventory systems is a plus.

• A starting salary of € 3,260 gross per month based on 38 hours (from age 21) and you can grow during your career to a salary of max. € 3,672 gross per month based on scale G from the MVT collective labor agreement.
• 35% allowance for working irregular hours such as on weekends, at night, or on public holidays.
• 25 vacation days on a full-time basis (38 hours).

• Travel allowance for commuting 0.21ct per km, from 10 km living distance from the work location.
