As a Learning Facilitator Rolling Stock Technology, you make an important contribution to the development of technicians within NS. You provide lessons and instructions and guide participants during their learning and development process. In doing so, you ensure that knowledge is directly applicable in practice. You regularly combine the roles of teacher, coach, and facilitator, helping colleagues develop the knowledge and skills they need to perform their work safely and professionally.

Together with colleagues, you create an optimal learning climate in which participants learn using both traditional and innovative learning tools. You support their development, provide targeted feedback, and encourage them to get the best out of themselves.

• You manage training days and ensure that learning objectives are achieved.
• You guide participants in their technical and personal development.
• You observe and analyze behavior and group dynamics and adjust where necessary.
• You provide instruction, guidance, and individual coaching.
• You maintain contact with involved colleagues regarding the progress of participants.
• You provide feedback focused on job and development goals.
• You work closely with fellow learning facilitators, training coordinators, and planners.
• You administer tests and Proofs of Competence (PVBs).
• You contribute to a safe, stimulating, and professional learning environment.

When you start with us, you will follow a two-year didactic development program. During this period, you will further develop as a learning facilitator and gain direct practical experience within the training programs provided by the Learning Center.

The position can also be filled on a secondment basis, whereby you continue to work in operations 50% of the time and work for the learning center 50% of the time.

The NS Learning Center is one of the largest corporate academies in the Netherlands and plays an important role in developing craftsmanship within NS. Within the Technology domain, Learning & Performance, the Technology Factory, and Rolling Stock Technology work closely together to optimally train and support employees.

You will work from the NS Learning Center in Amersfoort and will also regularly be present at service and maintenance locations throughout the Netherlands. Your base is Amersfoort. You find traveling for your work to be no problem.

You will join a committed and enthusiastic team that contributes daily to the professional competence of our technicians. Together, you ensure that technicians possess the correct knowledge and certifications to maintain the rolling stock safely and reliably.

• You have at least MBO level 3 and demonstrable MBO level 4 working and thinking level.
• You have demonstrable theoretical and practical knowledge of train technology.
• A completed education in the field of Faults & Repairs and/or Analysis & Repair is a plus.
• You have knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, safety concepts, and procedures.
• You are willing to collaborate with different disciplines within NS.
• You actively think along about the development and improvement of training programs and learning trajectories.
• You have an affinity for training, coaching, and guiding colleagues and are willing to follow the two-year didactic training program.
• You work independently and are skilled in the use of digital tools.

• You enjoy transferring knowledge and helping others learn and develop.
• You inspire others with your energy and exemplary behavior.
• You know when you should guide or coach participants and when you should give them space to learn independently.
• You are social, strong in communication, and organizationally sensitive.
• You can translate insights from different locations and situations into concrete improvement actions.

• A salary between €2,883.96 and €5,034.24 gross per month (scale 58) (based on 36 hours - scaling based on work experience).
• A 36-hour work week.
• 144 hours of statutory leave (based on full-time employment) + extra leave depending on age (at least one week).
