Sterile Medical Device Technician

The Central Sterilization Department provides services to the operating rooms, the day center, various outpatient clinics, the internal distribution center, and other departments within MUMC+, as well as external customers. We are looking for an enthusiastic colleague who already holds the MSMH diploma.

As an MSMH, your primary task is the disinfection, assembly, and sterilization of medical instruments and devices. You are also responsible for the cleaning and disinfection of flexible endoscopes. Furthermore, you make decisions regarding the quality of the work, whereby the operation of equipment and the assessment of process parameters are very essential. The profession offers mental and physical challenge and variety.

The Central Sterilization Department (CSA) is part of Operative Care and is part of the Center for Acute and Critical Care. The team consists of +/- 30 employees and is part of the perioperative process. The CSA is responsible for the disinfection, assembly, and sterilization of medical instrument sets used during surgeries and other procedures. Additionally, the CSO is also responsible for the cleaning and disinfection of flexible endoscopes.

Depending on education and experience, the salary is at least € 2,744.- and at most € 3,636.- gross per month for a full-time appointment. This salary is exclusive of irregularity allowances, holiday pay, and an end-of-year bonus of 8.3% of your gross annual salary.

This concerns an employment contract of 1 year for an average of 36 hours per week in accordance with article 2.4.2 Cao umc, being a temporary contract preceding an employment contract for an indefinite period as referred to in paragraph 3 of article 2.3 Cao umc.

It is expected that you perform irregular shifts during evening, night, and weekend hours and public holidays.
