CI Engineer (VeLOcity)

• Minimum HBO (higher professional education) working and thinking level;
• 5+ years of experience in a production environment, preferably in the food industry;
• Knowledge of CI working methods, methods, and applications;
• Knowledge of TPM in practice is a plus
• Experience in organizing, facilitating, and stimulating continuous improvement within an organization and thereby creating awareness among managers and employees for the application of CI;
• You are result-oriented, proactive, honest, integral, and a team player;
• You are proactive and action-oriented and like to show initiative.

As a Continuous Improvement Engineer, you make an active contribution to the further professionalization of our factory, the development of our employees, and the realization of structural savings. You work in a result-oriented manner on improvement projects that contribute to cost reduction, efficiency, and sustainability. You report to the Continuous Improvement Manager and are part of the Continuous Improvement team. This concerns a full-time role in day shifts.

• Promoting CI mindset: You identify opportunities to optimize CI within the plant, organize training and meetings, and encourage employees and managers to apply CI methods.
• Implementation of TPM program (Velocity): You translate the company-wide program to the plant, define improvement opportunities including goal, effect, effort, and priority, and ensure a clear basis for decision-making.
• Guiding improvement trajectories with TPM: You support improvement teams in the elaboration and implementation of CI trajectories, apply TPM principles, offer methods and techniques, and facilitate buy-in among all stakeholders.
• Establishing standards: You concretize and document operational standards down to the detail level (instructions, working methods, system settings) and ensure consistent alignment with disciplines within the organization.
• Optimizing CI within the plant: You share best practices, connect initiatives with other plants and corporate CI, and develop supporting material such as brochures, manuals, and training material.
• Reporting and accountability: You prepare clear reports on the progress and results of CI activities, both internally and at the corporate level, and analyze deviations.
• Improving process and assurance structure: You specialize in setting up and maintaining a robust assurance structure to continuously anchor CI and TPM and to sustainably secure results.
