Project Manager Engineering

You are an experienced technical lead with strong organizational skills and a sharp eye for quality. Additionally, you bring the following:

• A bachelor's degree in Maritime Engineering/Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar technical field;
• Over 10 years of experience in the design and engineering of complex shipbuilding or offshore projects;
• Strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, and stress resistance;
• Excellent command of Dutch and English;
• Willingness to travel.

• For this position, the salary is between approx. € 5000 and € 8000 gross per month (full-time), depending on knowledge and experience.

As Project Manager Engineering, you play a key role in realizing complex engineering projects, from initial concept to delivery. You lead a multidisciplinary team of approximately 10 engineers and also coordinate the engineering work outsourced to external agencies.

With your technical expertise, leadership, and helicopter view, you ensure that everything runs smoothly: planning, budget, quality, compliance, and collaboration.

Key accountabilities;

In your role:

• You take responsibility for assigned projects and realize concrete results in terms of planning, quality, and costs.
• You manage all project elements, including:
  • Determining scope, planning, risks, monitoring, and reporting;
  • Guiding engineers, suppliers, and other team members in the project;
  • Aligning with different departments and locations, and coordinating the flow of information;
  • Advising and aligning with the Project Manager on technical issues;
  • Monitoring deadlines and resolving project issues;
  • Ensuring compliance with regulations, certifications, and technical interfaces;
  • Organizing and/or participating in integration reviews;
  • Coordinating document reviews such as planning updates, progress reports, and production reports;
  • Participating in tests and trials such as HIL tests, HAT, and SAT.
