What we're looking for

  • Completed HBO (Higher Professional Education) degree, preferably in Food Technology;
  • You have several years of work experience within a QA department in the food industry;
  • Experience with HACCP and accredited standards such as BRC, IFS, Halal, etc., is a must;
  • You have good oral and written communication skills, also in the English language;
  • You have a flexible mindset and are able to work both independently and in a team;
  • You are customer-oriented; you always strive for fruitful cooperation, both internally and externally;
  • You are proactive, energetic, and have a positive attitude. You actively seek dialogue, ask critical questions, and address others in a respectful and constructive manner to ensure continuous improvement.

The role

We are looking for a:

QA Engineer

What you'll do

As a QA Engineer, you are responsible for managing the KMS (care system) in which various quality standards are integrated, such as HACCP, BRC, IFS, etc., with a focus on the QA system. You will be working in Oosterbierum, you will be part of the QA team, and you will report to the QA Manager. This is a full-time position, working day shifts.

What does your work look like?

  • You identify areas for improvement and initiate improvement proposals regarding QA-related matters. You lead improvement teams or Root Cause Analysis teams;
  • You lead and participate in various projects within your field of expertise. You also assess project plans from other departments for consequences, points of attention, and risks in the area of QA;
  • You organize internal and external audits / inspections and also carry them out together with your colleagues;
  • You monitor the progress of corrective / preventive actions and projects and also monitor the effectiveness of these actions (according to the PDCA principle);
  • You share your knowledge in the field of food safety with all your colleagues and contribute to food safety awareness within the organization;
  • You are responsible for collecting, processing, and reporting various data from the QA department for the benefit of management.
