Will you become our new line of defense against cyberattacks? Are you an IT Security Analyst who is always one step ahead of hackers? Do you get energy from analyzing security incidents, improving detection mechanisms, and strengthening digital security? Then this is your chance to make an impact within the Security Operations Center (SOC) of Athora!
As an IT Security Analyst, you play a key role in detecting, analyzing, and resolving security incidents. You are part of a compact and specialized team of six technical security specialists. In addition to operational activities, you provide a substantive contribution to the further development of the SOC. You work closely with other teams and have a sharp eye for improving processes and measures.
An important part of your work is the continuous improvement of our detection logic by expanding and refining the Athora use cases. With this, you increase the effectiveness of our monitoring and are able to detect threats faster and more accurately.
You actively participate in incident response and crisis management, and you also take part in the on-call services for the 24x7 SOC, so that we can respond adequately to security incidents at any time. The working atmosphere is informal, with room for knowledge sharing, technical deepening, and growth. The emphasis is on collaborating in the office; hybrid working is possible in consultation. Additionally, we provide you with all the space for training and certifications to keep your security knowledge and skills up-to-date or to improve them, such as SANS and interesting security conferences. In short, a versatile position with technical depth within a professional and informal team.
Your tasks include:
Performing analyses on security incidents (from 2nd to 3rd line), including prioritization and follow-up.
Performing scenario analyses to proactively signal threats and to determine the cause during incidents.
Investigating new attack techniques and developing effective detection and mitigation measures.
Participating in incident response processes and contributing to the implementation of protective measures.
Improving detection logic by developing and expanding Athora use cases.
Performing on-call services as part of the 24x7 SOC (for this, you will of course receive compensation).
Actively thinking along about and contributing to the further development of the SOC.
Applying knowledge from, for example, completed SANS training in practice (Annual SANS training is reimbursed by Athora!).
Thinking along about SOC processes, tooling, and automation (including Logic Apps)
Contributing to the functional management of Microsoft Defender and Sentinel
