Financial Controller

As a Financial Controller, do you want to do more than just ensure the numbers are correct, but primarily ensure that ITIS can use them for steering? At ITIS in Barendrecht, you are responsible for financial control over four B.V.s. You manage the financial administration, build reliable forecasts, and translate figures into insights that allow the board and management to look ahead.

A broad financial role for 32 to 40 hours per week, in which you are close to the business and receive plenty of room to further professionalize processes and financial steering.

As Financial Controller, you ensure that the financial foundation of ITIS is solid. You are responsible for correct and timely financial administration for three B.V.s and provide substantive management of the financial administration.

But that is actually where your role truly begins.

You analyze results, create forecasts, and map out where revenue, costs, results, and liquidity are moving. Do you see deviations or risks? Then you don't wait until the next report, but discuss them with the right stakeholders and advise on possible next steps.

In doing so, you work directly with the board and management. They need to not only know what has happened financially, but primarily understand why it is happening and what this means for the coming period.

Your responsibilities include

• Monitoring and substantively managing the financial administration of four B.V.s.

• Handling and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual closings and reports.

• Preparing budgets, forecasts, and liquidity projections.

• Analyzing financial performance, KPIs, and deviations, and translating these into concrete steering information.

• Advising the board and management on financial developments, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

• Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders and ensuring that reliable financial information is available in a timely manner.

• Improving financial processes, reporting, and internal controls.

• Coordinating accountant audits and supporting tax obligations.

You will work at the office of ITIS in Barendrecht and therefore are literally and figuratively close to the organization. You are not a controller who only provides reports from a distance.
