What we're looking for

At least a bachelor's degree in, for example, Economics, Accountancy, and/or Finance & Controlling.
At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
Experience working with an ERP system such as MS Dynamics.
Good knowledge of Excel (for example, lookup formulas, pivot tables, merging data).
Familiarity with Dutch GAAP.

The role

Are you a driven Financial Accountant looking for a dynamic and growing organization? Do you want to use your talents to take our financial administration to new heights? Then this is your chance!

What you'll do

It is essential that our administrations are up-to-date so that our month-end closings run smoothly and we present reliable figures to management. During the month-end closing, you are responsible for a number of topics and perform an analysis against the budget, which we use as input for discussions with our operational departments.

You are responsible for keeping the administrations of your (shipping) companies up-to-date.
You manage suspense accounts and perform the monthly closings within the set timeframe.
You assess the performance of your ships against the budget and discuss deviations with the responsible colleagues.

You are responsible for a number of cross-company topics such as:

Insurance and claims.
Fixed assets.
Banks and treasury.
Participations.
Work-related costs scheme (WKR).
Together with the team, you are involved in the external audit.
You are involved in the optimization of systems, processes, and reports.
