Public Affairs Graduation Internship

• You are following a degree in political science, public administration, or a similar field and are in your final phase.
• You possess a current and relevant network in political and administrative circles, with which you can effectively represent KPN's interests.
• You possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
• You speak and write fluent Dutch.
• You have a positive attitude, can work well independently, and are able to contribute proactively to the goals of the team.
• You are available to start as of February 2027

This is what you will receive from KPN:

• An internship allowance of EUR 600,- (based on 40 hours).
• A hybrid workplace: 2 days in the office, 3 days at home.
• A laptop, which you can also use for your school assignments.

As a Public Affairs intern at KPN, you will become an integral part of our dynamic team. Public Affairs & Regulatory consists of various professionals with diverse educational backgrounds and areas of expertise. Close collaboration, involvement, and a touch of humor are the driving forces behind our team. 

During your graduation internship, you will work on a research assignment within our Public Affairs & Regulatory team, where you will get the chance to explore the role of Public Affairs and strategic communication within a large organization like KPN. You will be involved in, among other things:

• Conducting research into the effectiveness of our political contacts and analyzing the impact of relevant partnerships in which KPN is represented.
• Mapping developments in policymaking and the strategic communication landscape within Public Affairs, with the aim of making recommendations for improved positioning.
• Collaborating with experienced professionals from the Public Affairs & Regulatory team to practically translate insights from your research into our operational processes.

This assignment not only gives you valuable insights into the workings of Public Affairs, but also offers room for your own input and conclusions that can have an impact on KPN's strategy.
