The role
In the role of Associate, you will work primarily within the Internal Audit & ISAE Assurance service line. An important part of this service line is assessing the internal control environment of financial institutions; we do this from our role as an external auditor or as an insourced internal auditor. Providing assurance, for example in the form of an ISAE 3402 report (Type I or Type II), is an important added value that we deliver to our clients and their stakeholders. As an Associate, you will learn how our clients are organized and test their internal controls. Internal control consists of procedures, guidelines, standards, and segregation of duties. Your task is to determine whether the internal control has been carried out according to the prescribed processes and procedures. Testing is performed via walkthroughs and sampling. A walkthrough begins with a conversation with the client's process owner. Together with your Manager, you will walk through the internal control to test it in practice. After completing the testing phase, you will assess whether the control has been correctly applied and executed. You will discuss your findings with your Manager, after which the final conclusion is reported to the client.
Lo que puedes esperar
In addition to a challenging position with plenty of development opportunities, you will receive a lot of freedom and independence in the execution of your work. A good work-life balance is central here, with an eye for sufficient rest after busy periods. We celebrate successes, anniversaries, and personal events together, with attention and care. Additionally, you will receive:
- a working environment in which good ideas and initiatives are encouraged;
- the possibility to work abroad within the DM Group in the future;
- a workplace in a beautiful monumental building in Voorburg;
- flexible working hours and the possibility to work partly from home;
- fun and cozy staff activities and an annual team weekend.
