• Technical affinity helps, but you do not need to be an elevator specialist yet. The specific knowledge about our elevators, processes, and systems will be learned within KONE.

New Installation Project Leader Elevators

From the first site visit to final delivery, that is where your results lie: You ensure that people, planning, and execution come together at the right time.

No two days and no two projects are the same. One morning you might walk through a construction site with a site manager to assess whether everything is ready for installation. Later that day, you might discuss progress with a technician or solve a bottleneck together with colleagues.

• You are the fixed point of contact for your projects and monitor progress, planning, quality, safety, and costs. In doing so, you look ahead: what is needed to keep the project on schedule, where are the risks, and what actions need to be initiated now?
• You visit your projects multiple times during the construction process. You check whether the structural situation aligns with what is required for the installation of the elevator and maintain contact with contractors, site managers, and other involved parties.
• At the same time, you ensure that colleagues within KONE know exactly what is happening. You coordinate, among others, with Planning, Engineering, Sales, and Backoffice, and ensure that actions are followed up.
• You work closely with our independently working installation technicians. You ensure that they can perform their work safely and correctly and that the site conditions are correct.
• Additionally, you perform safety inspections and quality audits and provide support where necessary regarding questions or challenges on-site.

You do not need to have all the answers yourself. Precisely as a project coordinator, you know whom to involve, when to communicate, and how to ensure a project progresses. This combination gives you a lot of freedom, variety, and ownership.

As a New Installation Project Leader, you will manage approximately 75 projects per year in the Rotterdam region. On average, you will be on-site 4 days per week and spend 1 day on preparation, planning, and internal coordination.

This means you are close to the execution, communicate frequently with contractors and technicians, and see the direct results of your work.
