Step aboard your next job: cabin maintenance mechanic at KLM! You ensure that the cabin looks top-notch and functions perfectly, both in the hangar and at Schiphol Centrum. With your craftsmanship and eye for detail, you contribute directly to a pleasant travel experience for millions of passengers. In this way, you help contribute to a smooth organization and unforgettable flights.

Where will you land?

You work from Schiphol Oost, in the hangars, and at Schiphol Centrum. You are part of a Cabin Maintenance team within the Maintenance Support organization. Together with your direct colleagues, you ensure high cabin quality in an environment that is constantly in motion and where there is room for your own initiative and improvement.

What will you do?

Your day consists of maintaining, repairing, and renewing cabin and cargo parts of various aircraft types. You disassemble parts, inspect them carefully, and reassemble everything according to the applicable regulations and quality requirements.   • you apply various techniques such as cutting, sewing, spraying, and laying flooring;
  • you perform tasks such as welding and heat-shaping plastics and synthetics;
  • you perform operational, functional, and simple tests under supervision within your authorizations.

Your profile

You take on work independently and quickly see where action is needed, even when the pressure is high. You switch smoothly between different tasks and remain sharp on quality and safety. You actively think along about improvements in the work process and take responsibility for your own activities. In doing so, you work pleasantly with colleagues and always keep the customer and passenger experience in mind. You apply safety regulations carefully and also hold each other accountable for this.

  • you possess an MBO-2/3 diploma;
  • you have 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience;
  • you can work according to technical manuals and procedures;
  • you have command of the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written.

  • An excellent pension scheme and 8% holiday allowance;
  • An end-of-year bonus of 8.33%;
